Southern Oregon Monthly Hemp Discussion with OSU and Dept. of Agriculture

The OSU Global Hemp Innovation Center will begin hosting a monthly hemp discussion at SOREC (569 Hanley Road, Central Point, OR 97502) for hemp growers in Southern Oregon.

This month’s topic is Hemp Genetics and will feature speakers Dr. Stephen Baluch and Dr. Andrea Garfinkel. Dr. Baluch is OSU’s Hemp Breeder with over 10 years in the cannabis industry. He will be on-site to give his presentation and answer questions. Dr. Garfinkel is a former plant breeder of Oregon CBD and has practical experience in hemp genetics.

This first meeting will be held in person on April 23, 2024 from 4:30 – 7:00 PM
